MASSAGE THERAPY RELIEVED MY HEADACHES

Migraine-Massage

Headaches come in many types and they all come at the wrong time. Tension headaches usually come when we’re most stressed out. Sinus headaches usually come when allergy season starts up. However, the migraine headache is definitely the worst of them all. The normal protocol to remedy a headache is pain medication, right? But what about Migraine Headaches? Can migraines be treated like any normal headache?

Migraine Headachesa recurrent throbbing headache that typically affects one side of the head and is often accompanied by nausea and disturbed vision.

Allow me to introduce Dr. Neung, a local veterinarian that has suffered from Migraine Headaches for over 20 years! Dr. Neung heard about our department of Applied Thai Traditional Medicine and decided to consult with our Doctor’s. Welcome to the field of Thai alternative medicine.

“The first time they recommended Massage Therapy for my migraine headaches, I didn’t believe it would work. But I had no other option. My headaches were intense and medicine didn’t seem to work anymore. So I decided to try Migraine Massage Therapy and now after 1 month my headaches have disappeared! I don’t take medication anymore, I used to take seemingly handfuls of paracetamol when a migraine would come on, but now it’s gone away.”

Let’s talk about Dr. Neung’s treatment program. Within 1 month she had received a total of 9 therapeutic massages specifically targeting her trigger points. This type of massage therapy is called Acupressure. Take a look at the massage technique as well, this is why certified Doctors are recommended for this type of therapy. Every time Dr. Neung visited us for treatment, she would go through the same process. First, we would update her vital signs and documented her blood pressure, weight, and temperature. She then briefly consults with the doctor to inform them of any progress or problems. At this point, Dr. Neung would change into some more comfortable clothes and the therapist would start using hot herbal compression to prepare the treatment areas. Each session takes about 1.5 hours and Dr. Neung treated 2 times per week for 1 month.

“I remember being so skeptical when they recommended a massage for my headaches but I must say it’s been the best relief I have had in over 20 years. In the past, as time went by, the migraines became more and more severe. I was taking more and more medication. Finally I tried something different and it worked for me. I recommend anyone who has been suffering like me to give massage by doctor a try. These doctors know how to find your problem and how to fix it naturally without chemical medicine.” – Dr. Neung, patient at Origene Clinic
